On Wednesday we gathered in the chamber to mark 75 years since the original chamber was destroyed in the Blitz. The rebuilt chamber opened in 1950 and, today, it stands as a testament to Britain’s determination to uphold parliamentary democracy even amid war’s devastation.

DrScottt You must be aware that ScotGov ‘s fiscal responsibility does not extend to borrowing so cannot invest in energy by taking on debt or mortgaging production, AND Energy Policy is Reserved, so that all energy prodtion is pooled. Scotland is forced to export to England, where Energy is sold more cheaply.

This is unfair and inefficient and only Westminster can fix it. That’s why Your Constituents elected You. And your Heart dinburgh Neighbours listen, more in hope than as anticipation at present.

This is not correct, the Scottish Government does have borrowing powers. Scotland is not forced to export electricity to England anymore than England is forced to export electricity to Scotland.
